Check out a new series bump for Grace Family Church, a mega church with over 5,000 members in North Tampa. The senior pastor wanted to really grab the attention of their members for a new series about spiritual warfare, called “Camouflage”. What came out of it, is the darkest video piece we’ve ever created…

GFC is one of our favorite clients, so we are always honored and excited when they call us with a new project. Not only because they are great to work with and produce high quality materials but also because they are doing some great things for people in need around our community. For this video intro, they said they wanted a different kind of piece than they’ve done before. They wanted it to not only get their members attention but get them thinking about “the invisible” enemy / war that the pastor was speaking on.

After a fun and interesting concept / planning lunch with three of our producers, we couldn’t wait to get started. We decided to treat it more as a short story, instead of a typical series intro. The locations worked out perfect and the family we used could not have been better. The story follows a man going throughout his normal day not realizing there is an invisible enemy that surrounds him. The tag-line was: “Don’t fall asleep to the Word”.

It was a series of first for us, it was the first time we’ve used true CG in one of our shoots. The first time we used the amazing new DSLR camera for video: Canon 5D Mark II. And the first time we’ve ever had demons in on of our spots. ha If you are a film buff, you might notice some nods to some of our favorites in the spot (I’ll give you a hint: Christopher Nolan, M. knight Shyamalan and Lost) and you might also appreciate the custom score we had made.

All and all, this project was a blast to work on and we couldn’t be more proud of our talented team! Thankfully, GFC was very pleased with the final product and it received a great reception with a host of compliments for the 5 weeks they played it.
